This has nothing to do with tattoos.

As many of you know, I was beyond elated to see Refused (three times!) last month. I even got to go to the secret show at The Acheron on April 23rd. Yesterday, I was sent a link to this video and I had to share it. Editor Evan Wise created this piece from the videos others posted online. He’s an amazing editor and spent his free time doing this because he loves Refused even more than I do. Feel free to share this. Post it on your Facebook and whatever else you can. It’s the closest thing to being there that you could possibly hope for.

Well, my loves, life has been crazy.

In the last few weeks, one of my bff’s and my sister had babies and then I saw Refused three times in two days. Life has been good and hectic and weird.

I love it and want more of it.

I’ve also been super busy tattooing…if I didn’t have to go home to take care of my cats, I probably would have moved into the shop by now. Summer is right around the corner and that means things are only going to get busier for the good ole Twelve 28 Crew. Our schedules are filling up really quickly. Personally, I am booked until July right now for larger pieces. If you are looking to get an hour or less in the chair sometime in the next couple of months, PLEASE get in touch with me soon. I mostly have daytime appointments during the week open for small pieces/short sessions.

In addition to being workaholics, Jess Versus and I will be running away together overseas for a well-deserved and long overdue vacation. We will be gone May 30th – June 6th exploring the canals of Venezia and I’m taking a night to run over to Milano to see Refused again…cuz I’m crazy.

So, yeah…shit’s awesome. Come see us!!!

I’m wicked sorry that I was out Thursday & Friday this past week. I wouldn’t wish that awfulness on my worst enemy (okay, that may be a lie). It was wretched. Banged out this sweet sugar maple leaf on the lovely Nova Lox yesterday. Super excited to get another convert to the sketchy-side. Can’t thank her enough for giving me the freedom to do the piece this way. LOVE!

If you’re like my friends, you’re probably thinking to yourself, “I like Dan Bones because he’s handsome and his tattoos are awesome, but WHAT ELSE is he good at?”

Well damn it, I’ll tell ya; ENGRAVERYING THINGS.

And what’s even better? I absolutely love taking on new clients for custom engraving work! This means that your holiday gift giving potential just got AMAZING AND YOU’RE WELCOME. Think of all the belt buckles, picket knives, flasks, old bottles, pocket watches and all sorts of fun stuff you could make amazing with custom artwork or inscriptions! Everything is engraved by hand, and I can work on glass, copper and aluminum.

But maybe you’re thinking to yourself: “Dan! You’re rambling and you sound like you’ve had too much coffee, how do I know your engraving work is any good?” Well I am and I have, but scroll on down and take a look for yourself!

It’s that time of year again, kids…. post-Turkey coma, post-Black Friday and Cyber Monday, where holiday ads are crammed down our already-stretched-out gullets.

I’ve said before that after the age of 20, there seems to be 9/10 adults that would rather having nothing to do with the hullabuloo of the holiday season, but for those 1/10 people who love the season like I do (and by that I mean I already started listening to Christmas music–two weeks ago), I re-present you my Holiday Flash special! (Present…. har-de-har-harrrrrr).

All the designs above are $40-$50, first-come, first-served, by walk-in or by appointment for the entire month of December. I’ll also be adding another sheet soon, because as you may have gathered, I frackkin’ love X-mas. Extra discounts will be considered if you bring me an ornament to put on one of my several trees!

So come on in, eat some candy canes, drink the ‘nog, and get a sweet Christmas tattoo! Drunk Santas, bone-wreaths, bloody presents, peppermint stockings, bows, candy, rum-nog, decapitated gingerbread men, and who could possibly forget Mr. Hankie the Christmas Poo?! Don’t let Halloween have all the fun!
